Do you read me?

I hate writing on my blog after a REALLY long void. It's like trying to say something to a friend you haven't seen since college....I feel guilty for staying out of touch and completely clueless about what to say.

But here I am. Writing again. Isn't it fabulous?!

At this point, I'm wondering if anyone even reads my silly blog anymore. Do YOU read me? If YOU do, please WRITE A COMMENT and help validate my blog's existence.

I'm really not feeling witty at the moment. Or particularly funny. Or remotely friendly. So, please don't expect too much from this post. The point is I am re-connecting (I think) with my blog and my blog's supporters. I do promise, however, that there will be more in store on this blog if you stay tuned...more CELEBRITY CORNERS, more TOP 10 lists, and even some good 'ole YoAdriane cynical humor.

It's a Royal CELEBRITY CORNER!

May has been such a busy month for me (and we still have, what, 8 days to go?). Birthdays (including my own), graduations, one BIG ward luau (more on that later), hot weather then cold weather, mega-workouts then total body crashes, and the list goes on. So busy, that I've had several blog posts I've wanted to put on here, but I've lacked the time, muscle power, mental capacity to put anything up. So today is my catch-up day. Yep that's right. I'm catching up on two blog-worthy notions that have floated around in my head the last month:

1. Royals
2. Another Celebrity Corner

And guess what? They go hand-on-hand for this blog post.

Since Will and Kate tied the know last month (which I by chance watched at 2 a.m. AZ time on YOUTUBE...totally not planned), I've been thinking about the royal family. Specifically, I've been thinking about the ones I like, the ones I'd like to look like, and the ones that I'd like to forget. All this thinking got me to thinking that some of them actually look like some people I know. And this was perfect, you know, because I've been needing another Celebrity Corner victim...

So today, ladies and gents, I'll spotlight one of those look-a-likes for you.

Let's take a closer inspection. Here's their commonalities:

Short, blonde hair? CHECK
Tall and thin? CHECK
Lovely angled face? CHECK
Athletic? Double CHECK
Exceptional mother? CHECK

(I found it extra ironic that both of them have a blonde and red head boy. Actually Teddy has two blondies, but still I like to think it's ironic...)

Here's a shout out to one of my bestest friends on the planet! Thanks Teddy for being there for me. You've always got a special place in my heart. You're royalty in my eyes, for sure.

I've got a cousin. Actually, I've got 33 cousins. BUT I've only got 2 cousins who look like the country pop starlet Taylor Swift. The first one is Lindsey (who was my first CC victim), and the second is Lynnae. So, yeah I've got this cousin and she looks a whole lot like Taylor Swift. Actualy, she even sings and plays the guitar like Taylor Swift. Only she isn't rich and she hasn't stooped to dating members of the Jonas brothers, Spiderman, and a steroid-studded werewolf. Oh no, her sense of taste is far above that. She's dated (and as of yesterday, married) one fine dude who looks a whole lot like another fine, musically talented, LDS dude named Brandon Flowers.

The Bitters

So yep, these two very good looking and talented people got married yesterday in the Mesa Arizona Temple. And they let me and Justin come and celebrate with them. It was a beautiful day, a beautiful couple, and a most beautiful event. I can't believe my little cousin is all grown up and a married woman now. I'm so very happy for her.

P.S. The wedding was a most fabulous mini-family reunion. As such, It would be terrible for me to not show more pictures. So, cross my heart, I will post more photos.
